Badrinath & Kedarnath Yatra Itinerary

Begin your journey from Haridwar in a private vehicle and head towards Guptkashi, a small town nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas. The 220-kilometre drive takes around 8–9 hours, and the route offers mesmerizing views of the Ganga River.
En route, witness the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers at Devprayag—the origin of the holy Ganges. Stop at Srinagar to stock up on essentials before moving through Rudraprayag and Ukhimath.
Upon arrival at Guptkashi, check-in to your pre-booked hotel. If time permits, visit the ArdhNarishwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Enjoy a warm dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi.
Early morning pilgrimage trek to the revered Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
Wake up early and depart by 5 AM to reach Sonprayag. From here, take a shared jeep to Gaurikund and begin your 16 km uphill trek to Kedarnath Temple.
The trek passes through forests, waterfalls, and mountain streams. Ponies or palanquins are available for assistance. Take a break at Rambara for refreshments before continuing the ascent.
By afternoon or early evening, reach Kedarnath (3,583 m). Visit the temple, offer prayers, and experience the divine ambiance surrounded by snow-clad peaks. Overnight stay in Kedarnath with dinner.
Retrace your steps from Kedarnath to Guptkashi, with spiritual and natural halts along the way.
Attend the morning aarti at the Kedarnath Temple. After breakfast, begin your 16 km descent back to Gaurikund, passing through breathtaking mountain landscapes.
Visit the Gauri Kund Temple, associated with Goddess Parvati, then travel via shared cab to Sonprayag and continue to Guptkashi.
